Connie Lee Rickett (66) passed away in the presence of her loving family and in the care of Iowa River Hospice. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday, October 23rd 2015, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to the family to be designated at a later date. Connie Lee Thompson was born on November 17th, 1948, in Marshalltown Iowa, to Thomas and Jean (Owens) Thompson. She was raised and educated in Marshalltown, graduating with the class 1966. On November 4th, 1972, Raymond Rickett and Connie Thompson were united in marriage. She was an employee of the Salvation Army Clothing Store as well working during the holidays at the Post Office as a package wrapper. Connie enjoyed going to Rock Creek and Sand Lake, attending the races at the Marshalltown Speedway, skating, spending time with her family, the occasional trip to Branson Missouri, and going to Dairy Queen for a sundae with extra hot fudge. Left to cherish her memory are her husband; Raymond Lee Rickett, children; Adam Lee Rickett, siblings; Tommy (Sandy) Thompson, Marilyn Bryant, Sandy (Steve) Hardwick, Carol Dannen and Gary Dannen (Deceased) , Brenda (Manuel) Neave, and many nieces and nephews, and many great nieces and nephews.
