Conrad Lundberg

Conrad Lundberg, 78, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at Grandview Heights Nursing and Rehab Center. Memorial services for Conrad will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2016, at Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be directed in Conrads name to his family. Conrad was born in Wichita, KS, on April 28, 1938, to Gertrude and Gustav Lundberg. At the age of 7, he lived in St. Paul, MN, during his dads education. At age 14, Conrad lived in Springfield, Massachusetts. In 1957, Conrad began his education at the Bethel College and Seminary. In 1960, he married Janice Leah Holzwarth. After completing his education in June of 1965, he accepted the call to the California Baptist Church in California, PA. In 1970, he pastored Beloit Rd. Baptist in West Allis, WI for 6 years. In 1976, his calling led him to Bethel Baptist Church in Joliet, IL, for 8 years. Conrad served as the president of the Joliet Ministerial Association and on the Board of Overseers for the Baptist General Conference (now Converge) for two years. In 1984, he began his ministry at Grace Baptist church in Waterloo, IA for 8 years until he worked with Campus Crusade for Christ. In 1993, First Baptist Church, Marshalltown, IA, called him as associate Pastor where he served faithfully for 15 years until his retirement at age 70. He leaves behind his wife Janice of 56 years, five children, Mark, Kristin, Leah (Oscar), Tabitha and James (Katie), and 7 grandchildren, Ashley (Ryan), Samantha, Elisa (Jacob), Tony, Jake, Mallory and Molly.
