Constance "Connie" Peterson

Constance “Connie” Alene Peterson, 82, of Marshalltown, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at UnityPoint Health-Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Funeral services for Connie will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Visitation will take place on Friday, January 5, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Constance Alene Campbell was born on June 18, 1941 in Marshalltown, Iowa to Al and Chloris (Cundiff) Campbell. Connie was raised and educated in Green Mountain, Iowa. She also attended two years of college out of the state. Connie had previously worked at the Marshalltown Hy-Vee in the bakery department, Grandview Heights as an activities director and owned her own interior design business: Decorators Gallery in Marshalltown. Connie was a member of the Iowa River Church of the Brethren in Marshalltown and a member of the Red Hat Society. Connie will be remembered for her outgoing personality. She always could put a smile on a person’s face and always went out of her way to please people. Connie will be best known for making her homemade greeting cards to give to her church family and friends and the knack she had for interior design.

Connie is survived by her daughters: Angie Jensen of Marshalltown and Melissa (Kevin) Anderson of Florida; sister: Kay Barfels of Beaman, cousin: Karen Rasmussen Dolge, along with numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.

Connie is preceded in death by her husband: William “Bill” Peterson; her first husband: Harold Jensen and her parents: Al and Chloris.
