Constance “Connie” Louise (Ross) (See) Curtis, 86 recently of Round Rock, Texas, formerly of Cherokee Village, Arkansas and Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away Tuesday afternoon, July 19th, 2022 at Colonial Gardens Memory Care in Austin, Texas. A public graveside service will be held on Monday, August 1 at 11:00 A.M. at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. No public visitation is planned. In lieu of flowers, Connie wanted any memorial contributions be sent to Cherokee Village United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 420, Cherokee Village, AR 72525. Born on August 21, 1935 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Connie was the daughter of Kenneth and Blanche (Ruble) Ross. Connie grew up in the Waterloo, Iowa area and attended Rockford College (Rockford, Illinois) and University of Northern Iowa (Cedar Falls, Iowa). Connie, her husband, Marlo See, and two children moved to Marshalltown in 1964. Marlo passed away in 1972, and Connie continued to raise her family while being involved with many activities including her church, knitting, reading, and cooking. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for over 65 years. In addition to raising the family, Connie was employed at various businesses including a local bank, Marshalltown Manufacturing, and 5-Star Real Estate. On October 2, 1976, Connie was married to Robert “Bob” Curtis. The couple made their home and raised their children in Marshalltown and were members of the First United Methodist Church. They moved to Cherokee Village in 2002 and lived there until 2021 when Bob passed away and Connie went to live with her son, Ken in Texas. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Ken (Jill) See, Round Rock, TX; her grandson Shawn (Jennifer) Hart; two great-grandchildren: Lillian and Preston Hart; step-children: Beth Steffa, Jim (Kristi) Curtis; her step-grandchildren: Tanner (Allison) Metz, Taylor (Josh) Wilson, Noah (Kaityn) Curtis, Mackenna Curtis, Austin Steffa, Alissa Steffa, and step-great-grandchildren: Dakoda Curtis, Jackson Metz, Carter Wilson. In eternal life, Connie has been reunited with her parents, her husband Bob, her daughter Julie (See) (Gull) Hart, son-in-law Joseph Hart and her first husband.
