Corinne E. Ersland, 85, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at the Iowa River Hospice Home, with her loving family by her side. Funeral services for Corinne will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2015, at Mitchell Family Funeral Home with Pastor Gerald Robison officiating. Public visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. 1:00 p.m., on Friday March 13, 2015, at Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be directed in Corinnes name to her family. Nydam was born on March 1, 1930, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Cornelius Christian and Eleanor May Bliss Nydam. She was raised and educated in the Chicago area school districts. Corinne was united in marriage to Thomas Arthur Ersland on March 5, 1949, in Oak Park, Illinois. She was a dedicated homemaker, wife, mother, and grandmother. Corinne loved all animals, jewelry, shopping. Her greatest passion was taking care of her family. Left to cherish Corinnes memory are her children: Diana Ersland, Kenneth Ersland, Bruce (Ann) Ersland, Belinda (Terry) Hobbs, Sheila (Ray) Doser, Marlys (Craig) Lovig, Dawn Ersland, Linda Ersland, and Colleen (Jim) Whitmore; grandchildren: James (Shanon) Darrow, Carey Doser, Mistry (Jason) Maxwell, Justin Lovig, Kim (Tracy) Lovig, Ranae (Dennis) Doser-Pascual, Brian Doser, Sarah (Josh) Doser-Sansgaard, Shane Ersland, Dana (Jeff) Ersland-Kosinski, Angela (Scott) Mergen, Josh Hobbs, Candice (Brett) Van Hove, Jarrod (Sarah) Whitmore, and Caitlin Whitmore; 20 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; siblings: Carol Maley and Robert Nydam; and her 4 legged kid: Brownie. Corinne was preceded in by her parents, Cornelius and Eleanor Nydam; husband, Thomas A Ersland; one son, Thomas E. Ersland, aka Junior and one great-grandson, Hunter D. Snider.
