Corwin Laverne Kelderman, 76, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at State Center Nursing and Rehab with his loving family by his side. Funeral services for Corwin will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 31, 2015, at Fellowship Baptist Church with Pastor Ed Hannahs officiating. Public visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 30, 2015 at Mitchell Family Funeral Home where his family will be present to greet friends. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring Corwin and his family. Corwin Laverne Kelderman was born on November 13, 1938 in Knoxville, Iowa, the son of Cornelius and Pearl Zella (Kingery) Kelderman. He was raised and educated in the Marshall county school districts. Corwin received his High School Diploma from the United States Armed Forces Institute in 1960. After graduating, he served his Country honorably in the Korean War. On July 7, 1979 Corwin was united in marriage to Rosemary Eash at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Corwin was a Baker at Smittys and ECONO foods. Corwin also worked with his brother at their family owned Kelderman Bakery. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Corwin had a passion for fishing, hunting, baking, traveling and his dogs. Left to cherish his memory are his children: Verna Marie Schultz (Kelderman), Kurt Dutch Kelderman and Leslie Ann (Kelderman) Philips; step-child: Susan Bond; grandchildren; sister: Leona Mae (Clare) Carlson; brother: Delbert Kelderman; numerous nieces and nephews; special mention; Pastor Osborne B Buchanan of Blandon, PA. He is preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary, parents: Cornelius and Pearl; step-son: Michael, brother: Bob Kelderman and sister: Kathy Mills.
