Craig Buffington, 62, of Marshalltown died Saturday, July 31, 2010 at the Iowa River Hospice House in Marshalltown. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 4, 2010, at New Hope Christian Church in Marshalltown. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00p.m. on Tuesday, also at New Hope Christian Church. Memorials may be directed to the family to be decided on at a later date. Burial will be at a later date. Buffington on September 21, 1947, to Ilo Henry and Betty Louise (Moore) Buffington, he attended school in Marshalltown, graduating with the class of 1965 and then attending Iowa State, graduating in 1973. Craig honorably served our country in the United States Marine Corps.Craig had retired from Fisher Controls after working there for 30 years. He was a member of the local snowmobile club and ABATE motorcycle club. Craig enjoyed snowmobiling, motorcycling, Canadian fishing and boating, and carpentry. Craig had lived in the Marshalltown area most all of his life. Those left to cherish Craigs memory is his mother Betty of Marshalltown and his brother Kent Buffington of Denver, Colorado. Craig was preceded in death by his father, Ilo, in April of 2009
