Craig Buddy Van Zee 55, of Marshalltown, Iowa passed away Monday, May 2, 2016, at his home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. at Hope United Methodist Church in Marshalltown, Iowa, on Thursday, May 5, 2016. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at Hope United Methodist Church in Marshalltown. Memorials may be directed to the family to be designated at a later date. Craig Roy Van Zee was born on September 3, 1960, in Marshalltown, Iowa; he was the son of LeRoy and Irene (Osborn) Van Zee. Craig had attended school in the Marshalltown Community School District and was a graduate and then went on to attend Marshalltown Community College for 2 years. He worked at Kiowa for 14 years and Fisher Controls as a Scheduler for almost 10 yrs. On August 17, 1991, Craig was united in marriage to Sherry Diane Collins in Marshalltown, Iowa. Craig enjoyed fishing, water skiing, music, Green Bay Packers, Iowa Hawkeyes, Chicago Cubs but really loved all sports. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 24 years, Sherry, children, Dylan Van Zee of Marshalltown, Iowa and Kinze Van Zee of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Stepsons, Michael (Jessie) Quick and Andrew Quick both of Marshalltown, Iowa, Mother, Irene Hilleman of Marshalltown, Iowa and 6 step-grandchildren, Sisters, Carla (Larry) Ruch of Missouri, Carol (John) Haney and Cindy Lee Eggers both of Marshalltown, Iowa. In death Craig rejoins his father, LeRoy.
