Craig Ziemke

Craig Claire Ziemke, age 70 of Marshalltown, passed away in his home on Sunday, June 21, 2020.  Craig was born on November 19, 1949 in Hubbard, Iowa to parents Claire and Shirley (Nichols) Ziemke.  He attended West Marshall High School, graduating in 1968.  During the Vietnam War, Craig honorably served our country in the United States Marine Corp.  He worked as a forklift operator at Kiowa. Craig enjoyed listening to Classic Rock and Country music.  His passions were cars and motorcycles.  He was a “Ford guy” and Mustangs were his favorite.  He also loved Harley-Davidson motorcycles.  Craig adored his sons and granddaughters. Craig is survived by his sons Todd (Maggie) Ziemke and Andrew Ziemke; granddaughters Madeline and Lucy Ziemke; brothers Gary (Kay) and Kenny (Jill) Ziemke, cousin Tim Nichols, and three nieces. He is preceded in death by his parents, Claire and Shirley. A funeral service for Craig will take place on Friday, June 26 at 1:00 P.M. at Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown.  Visitation will occur Thursday, June 25 from 5:00-7:00 P.M.
