Curtis Duane Andrews 63, of Union Iowa passed away at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, Iowa.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, August 1, 2011 at the Whitten Community Church in Whitten, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 31, 2011 at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Phone 641-844-1234.Curtis Duane Andrews was born in Eldora, Iowa on February 4, 1948; he was the son of Duane and Ruth (Rash) Andrews. He was educated in the Hubbard school district. On April 18, 1969 he was united in marriage to Joy Ellen Crandall in Hampton, Iowa. They had lived in Hampton, Colorado and the last 30 plus years in Union. Curt had worked at Farmland, Swift and later raised fox and mink. He was a member of the NRA. Curt enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, trapping, golf and grilling, but most of all he enjoyed his family and family get togethers.Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Joy of Union, sons; Jason Andrews of Denver, Colorado, Jeremiah (Mindy) Andrews and Josh Andrews of Union, Iowa, and grandchildren; Julia, Dylan, Evan, and Gracie.Curtis was preceded in death by his parents; Duane and Ruth, his sister, Linda Fann and brother; Chane Andrews.
