Born on April 17, 1984, in Iowa City, Curtis was the son of Chris and Lisa (Brown) Stackhouse. They resided in Marshalltown where Curtis enjoyed seeing the neighbors, visiting with people who came to the house and participating in Special Olympics - earning many medals and ribbons. He enjoyed rides down the hills of Riverside Cemetery scaring the geese, teasing his sister Jeannie about her ugly purses and then throwing them down the stairs, and he loved simply being around people. With his passing, Curtis rejoined his dad, Chris and nephew Kevin, Jr. who both died in a house fire in March of 2008; his grandma, Shirley Stackhouse; step-grandma, Frances Stackhouse; sister, Randi Jo Vajgert; step-grandpa, Red Vajgert; godmother, Cindy Prusha; uncles, Bill Stackhouse and Steve Bearden; and many other relatives. Left to cherish his smile and memory are his mom, Lisa (Mike) Vajgert of Marshalltown; brother, Kevin (Nicole) Stackhouse of Marshalltown, and their children: Nora, Briget, and Skyler; sister, Jeannie Stackhouse (Doug Salyers) of Marshalltown, and their daughter Trinity Ann Salyers; sister, Samantha (Manuel) Regalado of Marshalltown; his grandpa and grandma Harold and Jeannie Brown of Marshalltown; grandpa, Marvin Stackhouse of Amana; step-grandmother, Rita Vajgert of Prescott, Arizona; and many other relatives and friends who loved Curtis very much.
