Cynthia Jordan, 52, of Ames, Iowa and formerly of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away in the comfort of her own home on September 22, 2024.
Per Cynthia’s wishes cremation rites have been accorded and a family led celebration of life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to her family for a later designation. Cynthia Jo Taylor was born October 14, 1971 in Marshalltown, Iowa. She was the youngest of three children born to Robert and Kathleen (Anderson) Taylor. Cynthia grew up in the Tama County area in various towns. She attended school and later would receive her GED which she was proud to have accomplished.
She was married to John Jordan Sr. and together they established their home in various towns throughout Marshall County. They raised four children together, Shyannon, John Jr. Dylan and Montana. Her family was everything to her and she made sure that they were always taken care of and was proudest to be called a mother. They called Marshalltown their main hometown until 2023 when they moved to Ames, Iowa. In her free time, she loved it when she was able to be outdoors and sitting by a fire. She was fond of going on camping trips as often as she could alongside her family and going fishing. She loved to always be dressed up and made sure that when she left the house she was dressed to impress with full jewelry. She loved listening to music especially country. Additionally, she adored cooking for her family, spending time with her grandchildren and was known to watch her soap operas as much as she could.
Those left to remember and cherish her memory are her husband, John Jordan Sr.; her children, Shyannon (Michael) Martinez, John Jordan Jr., Dylan Jordan and Montana Jordan; grandchildren, Hteah Jordan, Myra Jordan, Jacobi Gonzolez, Layloni Guffey and Wren Jordan; her mother, Kathleen Taylor; siblings, William Taylor and Roberta (Richard) Keller; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Taylor; paternal and maternal grandparents; and numerous aunts and uncles.
