Cynthia "Cindy" Krull

Cindy Sue Krull, age 65 of Gladbrook, passed away on Friday, October 4, 2024, at home surrounded by her family.

Visitation will be held from 4:30 until 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery, Gladbrook.

Born Cynthia Sue Kellogg on December 29, 1958, in Austin, MN, the daughter of Morten and Marlene (Wierson) Kellogg. Cindy married her high school sweetheart, Gayle Krull, on April 4, 1975, in South Dakota. She graduated in the Class of 1976 from Southland High School.

Cindy and Gayle were blessed with 7 children, during the early years Cindy stayed home with her children. Later she worked as the Chapel Church Secretary then put herself through nursing school. Cindy worked as a nurse at the Marshalltown Medical Center, Iowa Veterans Home, Family Planning in Marshalltown and Grinnell, and retired from Accura Healthcare. After retirement, she volunteered at 2nd Chance on 3rd.

Cindy was always willing to lend a hand and contribute to her community. She coached various activities, helped with Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, and volunteered for Vacation Bible School every summer. Cindy was also a member of United Methodist Women.

Cindy was preceded in death by her father Morten Kellogg; her sons, Bobby Krull, Benny Krull and Tyler Krull; grandson, Isaiah; and her brother, Randy Kellogg.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Gayle Krull; her children, Chris (Marci) Krull, Sara (Camden) Himes, Matthew Krull and Kyle (Krysti) Krull; grandchildren, Madison (Brayden) Peterson, Zachary Krull, Paden (Tabitha) Himes, Wyatt Himes, Gabrielle Himes, Blaze Krull, Blake Krull, Mattox Krull, Jasper Krull; one great-granddaughter, Abigail Himes. She is also survived by her siblings, Becky and Scott Kellogg, and her mother Marlene Kellogg.
