Dale Adams

Dale LaVerne Adams passed away at the University of Iowa on Friday August 17, 2018. Staying true to Dale’s wishes no funeral services will be held at this time. For condolences please visit www.Mitchellfh.com or call (641)-844-1234.  Dale was born on December 12, 1939 to the parents of Gailard and Elma (Johnson) Adams in Marshalltown, Iowa. He grew up in Gilman, Iowa and in the second grade his family moved to Marshalltown. After his schooling Dale married Carol Winters, in 1960 from this union four children were born Anthony, Rick, Nick, and Timothy. The two would later divorce in 1976. Dale later married Barbara Tandy in 1980 they would late divorce in 1989. In the early 1960’s, Dale took a job at Swift’s packing plant and worked the maintenance shift for over 20 years and a total of over 35 years at the company. Dale, in his more recent years enjoyed his retirement without the hustle and bustle of a busy day with his companion Sandi Riemenschneider. Left to cherish Dale’s memory is Sandi, his children: Rick Adams, Nick Adams, and Timothy Adams, 9 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Gailard and Elma, brother George, brother Don Davis, sister Marlyn, and his son Anthony.
