Dale Elliott

Dale Elliott, age 52 of Newton and formerly of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away surrounded by family at Mercy One Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa on March 14, 2025.

Per Dale’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and a family led celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Dale Eugene Elliott was born August 5, 1972 in Yuma, Arizona. He was the middle of three children born to Ronald “Ron” and Christina “Chris” (Menter) Eliott. Dale grew up in Arizona until the age of three when he and his family moved to Iowa. He attended school in Marshalltown and later graduated from Marshalltown High School with the Class of 1990. He married Penny Sue Strachota and together they had one daughter Cheree. The two later divorced. Most recently he called Newton his home. In his free time, he enjoyed going out fishing, listening to music, watching movies at home, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Those left to remember and cherish his memory are his daughter, Cheree (Maurice Billingsley) Elliott; two grandchildren, Arkel Elliott and Ranyah Billingsley; his parents, Ron Elliott and Chris Elliott; his sister, Penny Hartwell; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Terry Elliott; grandmother, Lois Haskel; and grandparents Richard and Nadine Elliott.
