Dale Milhous

Dale Milhous, 58, of rural Marshalltown, died Tuesday, October 28th, at his home. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 31, at the Hope United Methodist Church with Pastor Darrell Mitchell officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be one-hour prior to the services. For condolences, please visit www.mitchellfh.com. The Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Dale and his family. Born on January 21, 1950, in Marshalltown, he was the son of Leonard and Kay (Clustavik) Milhous. He graduated from the Marshalltown High School in 1968 and later attended MCC. Dale enjoyed airplanes, camping, old TV shows, listening to music and treasured his family and friends. For a number of years, Dale has been retired from Fisher Controls due to health. Prior to retirement, he was a member of the UAW Local #893 and served as a Union Steward. Mr. Milhous had been united in marriage to Jamie Christerson and later Kelly Mercer. Left to cherish his memory are his son, Zach (Meghan) Milhous of Marshalltown, his mother Kay of Marshalltown, brother Ron (Dena) of Ames and sister Gloria Jones of Villisca, Iowa as well as a host of friends. In death he has rejoined his father who died in January of 1984 and brother-in-law Gordon Jones.
