Dale Wedgwood

Dale Wedgwood, 90, of Marshalltown, Iowa passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2019.     A memorial service for Dale will be held at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor John Whitehead officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to start of service. Memorials for Dale may be directed to the family. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Dale and his family.     Dale was born on December 14, 1928 to Benjamin and Mary Katheryn (Kearnes) Wedgwood in Marshalltown, Iowa. He served his country in the United States Army. He met and married his wife Marilyn Wedgwood and together they raised 3 children together. Dale worked in customer service at Fisher’s in Marshalltown. He belonged to a number of organizations some of which included the Odd Fellow’s Lodge, V.F.W., Moose Lodge, and the Bowling Association. Some of Dale’s hobbies and interests included, bowling, golfing, gardening, and flowers. Left to cherish his memory are his children Rory Wedgwood, Jill (Gerry) Anderson, and Joni (Greg) Mellinger; grandchildren Clint (Natasha), Benjamin (Krystal), Mindy; step grandchildren Samantha, Zachary; great- grandchildren Tucker, Leila, River, Izaak, Konner, Quintin, and Huey; and one brother Delos “Sam” Wedgwood.     In death, Dale rejoins his wife Marilyn; parents Benjamin and Mary Kathryn; and 9 siblings.
