Dale Zieske, 53, of Belle Plaine, former longtimeRhodes resident, died Wednesday, September 12th, atthe University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.Funeral services celebrating Dale's life will beheld at 1:30 p.m. Monday, September 17th, at theMitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown withPastor Bobby Shomo officiating. Born on December 28th, 1953, in Marshalltown, hewas the son of Glenn and Arlene (Wilkenson) Zieske.He graduated from the Marshalltown High School'sClass of 1972 and later from Iowa StateUniversity. Dale was united in marriage to VickyMartelli from 1973 to 1981. From this union came histhree precious daughters. Mr. Zieske was a partner and Director of Researchat Pirro International Research in Des Moines withpartner, Ellen Pirro. He had resided at Rhodes untilmoving to Belle Plaine three years ago. Dale enjoyedmusic, playing lead guitar in his band - "IronHorse" years ago, Bar-B-Q's, his friends, family andgrandchildren, get-togethers, Sci-Fi books, andanything electrical or Hi-Tech.Left to cherish his memory are his three daughters:Shawn (Jason) Tatge of Gulfport, Mississippi,Melissa (Chris) Boots of Belle Plaine, and Rebecca(Chad Flaten) Zieske of Kellogg, his precious grandchildren:Morgan and Macie Boots, Autumn, Nichole and JackTatge, Lindsay Wilkins and Cale Flaten, his sisterDiane (Mike) Anderson of Marshalltown andhalf-brother Darrell Croskrey in Minnesota.In death he has rejoined his parents.
