Daniel Linn Berg, 33, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2013, at his home. Funeral services for Daniel Linn Berg will be 1:00 pm Saturday, September 21, 2013 at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home, 1209 Iowa Avenue West, Marshalltown, Iowa with Pastor Bobby Shomo officiating. A time of visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Friday also at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home, Marshalltown. Burial will be at the Riverside Cemetery, Marshalltown. Daniel Linn Berg was born December 30, 1979 at Marshalltown, Iowa, the son of Allan Leroy and Linda Lee [Linn] Berg. He attended the Marshalltown Community Schools, graduating with the class of 1998. He attended welding class at Marshalltown Community College, Marshalltown. Dan was employed as a machinist in the Heating and Manufacturing Business Unit of Lenox Manufacturing, Marshalltown. Daniel Berg is survived by his mother: Linda Berg of Marshalltown, Iowa; three children: Nik Berg, Noelani Berg, Evan Berg; his brother: Philip [Kara] Berg of Ames, Iowa and their children: Andrew and Samantha; his aunt and uncles: Joel [Peg] Berg of Anita, Iowa, David [Paulett] Berg of Marshalltown, Iowa, Sharon [Bob] Sieck of Pharr, Texas, Kathryn [Bill] Dadukian of Bronxville, New York, Sandra Linn of Ramona, California, Richard Linn of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Leonard J. [Jean] Linn of Iowa Falls, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his father Allan Berg; his niece: Stephanie Marie Berg; his grandparents: Lloyd and Mary Leona Berg and Leonard L. and Elva Linn.
