Daniel D Peshel, 81, Dozer Dan of Melbourne, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at Central Iowa Healthcare in Marshalltown. Funeral services for Dan will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 2, 2017, at Mitchell Family Funeral Home with Pastor Jaccie Kenyon officiating. Public visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 1, 2017, at Mitchell Family Funeral Home, where Dans family will be present to greet friends. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Dan and his family. Daniel D. Peshel was born on February 23, 1935 in Nashua, Iowa, the son of Andrew and Helen (Mishler) Peshel. He attended school in Garwin. He was united in marriage to Marie Weber. From this union two children were born: Randy Daniel and Beth. The two later divorced. Dan was blessed to unite in marriage to Nancy Collins. From this union four children were born: Bob, Brian, Brenda and Brandon. Dan and Nancy did also divorce but always remained close. Dan was blessed once again with finding a special friend to enjoy life with and that was Charlotte Brock. The two never married but were very close up until her passing. Dan was not afraid of hard work, as he dedicated most of his professional career as a heavy equipment operator working for Construct, Inc. He had a passion for tractors, operating heavy machinery, but his most important passions in life were his family. Left to cherish Dans memory are his children: Daniel Randy Peshel of Columbus, IN, Beth Brock of Seymour, IN, Robert Bob (Kelly) of Spring Valley, MN, Brian of Marshalltown, IA, Brenda (Ken) Arnote of Albion, IA, and Brandon of Waverly, IA; 21 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and siblings: June Foreman, Norma Gummert, Dave Peshel, Darrell Peshel, Dennis Peshel and Jerry Peshel. He is preceded in death by his parents: Andrew and Helen; grandchildren: Josh Huddleston, Jeremiah and Andrea Lucky as well as many dear friends.
