Danny C. Cox, 73, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away peacefully on the evening of Monday, September 23, 2019 at his home with his family by his side, while under the care of Iowa River Hospice. Funeral services for Danny will be held 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 29, 2019 at the Iowa River Church of the Brethren with Pastors Jennifer and Paul Daniel officiating. Danny was born on October 8, 1946 in Bellingham, Washington, the son of Ray Calvin and Emily (McCreary) Cox.  Danny attended country school up to the 3rd grade, when it closed. He then attended school in Le Grand, graduating from LDF with the class of 1964. On August 26, 1963 he was united in marriage to his loving wife, Diane Hines, in Melbourne, Iowa, and from this union, two children were born: Bryan and Danette. Danny was a hardworking man, starting his working career at Manatt’s, Fisher Control and Swifts, but his love was farming on the family farm. Danny was a quiet loving man who loved the Lord, his family and his farm. He was a proud member of the Iowa River Church of the Brethren. Danny always enjoyed watching westerns and the Hawkeyes. He loved restoring cars for his family. He loved teaching his children and later his grandchildren, how to fix a vehicle or build something out of nothing. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Diane; his brother, David Cox; children, Bryan (Kim) Cox and Danette Damman; grandchildren, Kassy (Jake) Nelson, Travis Clement, Taylor Damman, Caleb Cox, Aspen Brown (Jake Mason) and Autumn Brown; great-grandchildren, Kelcy and Parker Randall, Brantley Thurston, and Lane Nelson, Carter, William and Jaxon Mason. In death he rejoins his parents, Ray and Emily Cox; his nephew Calvin Cox; and his sister-in-law, Darlene Wilson.
