Born on Valentine’s Day of 1968, she was the daughter of Larry and Connie (Nuese) Stuckmyer. She graduated from the Green Mountain High School in 1986. Darla was drawn to the insurance profession and dedicated 36 years to it. Beginning with Brenton Insurance and faithfully navigating through their successors. She was always a warm inviting smile to customers and truly loved her co-workers.

On the last day of September, 2000, she was united in marriage to Daniel Rowley, at the Willard Mansion in Marshalltown. The two had their first date on January 2, 1991. She enjoyed riding motorcycles, and she was the chairman of the Relay for Life for many years, Daffodil Days for the American Cancer Society, and playing pool- but her family was her everything. She had no boundaries to family. She accepted everyone for who they were and was often called “Mama Darla” or “Grandma Darla” from those who loved her the most.

Left to cherish her memory are Daniel, her loving husband of 26 years, her daughters: Yolonda Rowley (Brandon Cambridge) of Marshalltown and Vanessa (Shawn) Geyer in Maryland; six precious grandchildren- Sean Woodard, II, Zoey Woodard, Hendrix Cambridge, Sutton Geyer, Aria Geyer and Enslee Geyer; her great-granddaughter Hazel Rose; sister Tonja Stuckmyer of Marshalltown and brothers Michael (Kristin) Stuckmyer of Kenosha, WI, Jordan Stuckmyer, sister Maleah (Michael) Stuckmyer-Welsch; nieces Kylee and Sarah Stuckmyer; Lori Stuckmyer who had married her dad after the passing of her mom, Connie and many friends and co-workers.

In death, Darla rejoined her parents, her twin siblings Amanda and Brian Stuckmyer, her grandparents and many other family and friends.
