Darlene Kay Bolle

Darlene Kay Bolle, 78, of Albion, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at UnityPoint - Marshalltown.

Funeral services for Darlene will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Darlene Kay Hoing was born on September 26, 1946 in Marshalltown. She was the daughter of Francis “Bussy” and Ruth (Brewer) Hoing. On December 9, 1967, Darlene was united in marriage to Donald Bolle in Vermillion, South Dakota. Darlene was retired from the Marshalltown Hospital, working twenty-five plus years in Central Supply. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed cooking- potato salad being a favorite. Darlene also enjoyed watching TV, with some of her favorites being Days of Our Lives, Wheel of Fortune and Judge Judy.

Darlene is survived by her husband of fifty-seven years: Don. Children: Teri Freeman of Minnesota and Tina (Kevin Frohwein) Bolle of Albion. Grandchildren: Kirsten, Jordan, Tori, Tyler and Bailey. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren: Ryker and Reed.

Darlene is preceded in death by her children: Tim Bolle and Tracy Hewitt and siblings: Joyce Macy, Al Hoing and Gary Hoing.
