Darroll Street

Darroll Street, 68, of Gladbrook, died on Monday, March 16, 2009, at the University of Iowa Hospital. Private family graveside funeral services will be held at a future date. He was the son of Dwayne and Lolis (Evans) Street. Darroll attended school in Gladbrook. On November 24, 1960, he married Peggy (Fish) Street at Peace United Church of Christ in Gladbrook. Darroll worked for Gethmann Construction, retiring in 1999. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, tinkering with about anything and everything, and especially enjoyed woodworking. Darroll is survived by his wife, Peggy, of Gladbrook; his four sons, Larry (Elizabeth) Street, Emmett (Deb) Street, David (Laurie) Street, and Gregery (Jill) Street; his twelve grandchildren; his one great-grandson; and his sister, Patricia Ahern. In death, he has rejoined his parents and his brother.
