Darwin Vanhauen

Darwin VanHauen, 60, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2022 in the comfort of his own home.

Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and no formal services are planned at this time. Memorials in Darwin’s name may be directed to his family for a later designation. Darwin Lee VanHauen was born June 13, 1962 to parents Harvey and Elisabeth (Lauterbach) VanHauen in Waverly, Iowa. He was one of three children. Darwin attended school within the Waverly- Shell Rock School District and later graduated in the class of 1981.

Darwin is the father of two sons and one daughter. On March 14, 2014, Darwin married the love of his life Suzanne Mason. He worked for JBS in Marshalltown, Iowa as their maintenance trainer. In his free time, Darwin enjoyed spending time with his dogs, Maggie, Bella, and Pepper.

Those left to remember and cherish his memory are his wife, Suzanne Mason; his children; and his sister Liz (Larry) Clark.

He was preceded in death by his parents Harvey and Elisabeth VanHauen and his brother Harold VanHauen.
