Darwyn White

Darwyn Dean White, 70, of 1707 South 7th Avenue, Marshalltown, died recently at his home. Memorial services celebrating Darwyns life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 19th, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Kosbau of the Evangelical Free Church officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. For condolences, please visit www.mitchellfh.com. There will be no visitation. The Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Darwyn and his family. Ph 844-1234. Born on April 12th, 1937, in Albion, Iowa, he was the son of Onnie and Ines (Adams) White. He received his education in the area of his birth. He was united in marriage to Charlene Boyd on January 27th, 1973 at the Hope United Methodist Church in Marshalltown.Mr. White was employed at Gra-Iron Foundry and later in security at Swift and Company. He was a member of the E-Free Church family and helped out at the House of Compassion. Darwyn was a very caring and giving person who loved his church and family, and enjoyed radio controlled cars, Play Station 2 and being an avid wrestling fan. He will be greatly missed by many. Left to mourn his loss are his former wife and best friend, Charlene, his son Cameron (Temeka) White of Salem, Oregon, grandson Jacob White of Marshalltown, sister Diana (Darrell) Jorpeland of Haverhill and brother Gary (Jesse) White of Van Cleve.In death he has rejoined his parents and aunts and uncles.
