Dave Grice

David Alan Grice the son of William Grice (Spirit Lake) and Carol (Leith) Lauritzen and husband Bill of (Spencer, Iowa) was born Dec.12, 1964 in Storm Lake, Iowa.  Dave graduated from Laurens Consolidated Schools in 1983. He continued his education earning a scholarship to play basketball at Morningside College where he completed his Business degree May of 1987.  Dave’s career started at Northwest Federal Bank in Spencer, Iowa where he managed various bank locations. He resided in Missouri, Florida and currently Texas where he was working for Brunswick in sales.  Dave married the love of his life Renee Trowbridge of State Center on August 22, 1997.  They welcomed their son Jordan to the world on June 20, 2000. Dave was a devoted father to his three children Jordan, Ryleigh (Iowa City) and Reece (Houston, TX).  He spent countless hours on the sidelines coaching and cheering them on. Dave was an avid sports fan and loved the Iowa Hawkeyes and Minnesota Vikings. He was the person that was always waiting for you with an open heart and a welcoming hug.   Dave is preceded in death by his grandparents Oliver and Mary Leith of Pocahontas and Carl and Barb Grice of Laurens.  He leaves behind his wife, three children, parents, sister Kathleen Habben (Spencer), brother Douglas Grice (Des Moines), nieces and nephews, and many other beloved family members and friends.  Due to circumstances, services for Dave will be held privately.
