Dave Wallace, age 68 of Marshalltown, passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Accura Healthcare of Marshalltown, with his daughter by his side.
David Dean Wallace was born on March 10, 1958, in Marshalltown, the son of Elmer and Jaqueline (Stanton) Wallace. He attended Marshalltown Public Schools. Following high school, he became a truck driver. Dave drove for Old Dominion and SNT, for a total of almost 40 years.
Dave enjoyed hunting and fishing, playing BINGO, and listening to music. His favorite genres were country and rock & roll. Some of Dave’s favorite artists to listen to and represent by wearing their t-shirts are Miranda Lambert, Jason Aldean, and Toby Keith – just to name a few. Dave liked to cheer on the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Kansas City Chiefs! Dave had a special place in his heart for animals, especially dogs.
In death, Dave is reunited with his parents: Elmer and Jackie Wallace; sister, Lana Weatherly; brother, Don Wallace; and his precious dog, Lou.
Dave leaves behind his children: Dusty (Nick) Wallace and Jamie Wallace; grandchildren: Jaden, Devyn, Dominyc, and Jonathon; sister, Linnette (Bruce) Tuttle; brother, Jeff Wallace; along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Per Dave’s wishes, cremation rites will take place and he will be laid to rest at the Albion Cemetery, alongside his parents. Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at Albion Cemetery.
