David Thomas Ewalt, born January 29, 1940, in Marshalltown, Iowa, was the beloved son of Randall and Anna (Hill) Ewalt. He grew up in the Liscomb community and graduated from Liscomb High School with the Class of 1958. On November 7, 1959, David married the love of his life, Carol Ann Booth, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Marshalltown.Their marriage was blessed with four children, who became the center of their lives. David worked for many years as a delivery driver for the 7 Up Bottling Company, where he was known for his reliability and strong work ethic. He later joined Emerson Fisher Controls as an electrician, a role he held with dedication until his retirement. He will be remembered for his devotion to family, his steady presence, and the pride he took in a lifetime of honest work.

David was a proud and dedicated member of the Marshalltown Street Rods club, UAW Post 893, and the Iowa State Snowmobile Association. He poured his energy and passion into the things he loved most—tinkering with his hot rods, riding motorcycles and snowmobiles, camping under open skies and exploring the country with his wife. Together, they traveled to every state in the nation except Alaska and Hawaii, creating a lifetime of memories on the road.

(Terri) Ewalt, Deb Walters, and Brian Ewalt; eight grandchildren; twelve great‑grandchildren; niece Tracy (Randy) Ferch, nephew, Gregg (Mary) Morris; sister-in-law Debra Brown-Booth; and his former daughter‑in‑law, Elke Ewalt.
