David "Super Simple" Hooper King

David Hooper King, AKA “Super Simple”, age 33 of Garwin, IA., passed away on Sunday June, 16, 2024 at his home.


A funeral service is scheduled for Sunday, June 23, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation one hour prior to the service, also at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the family for a later designation. David King was born January 30, 1991 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was the son of Robert Hooper Jr. and Raelynn (Varney) King. Super Simple attended school at the West Marshall School District. After high school, he soon joined the workforce and mostly worked in construction and any job that would allow him to stay outdoors. In his free time, he enjoyed riding Harley Davidson Motorcycles, dirt bikes, being a mechanic, hunting, fishing, playing video games, but most importantly he loved spending time with his daughter Avi.


David is survived by his Fiancée, Amy Close Anderson; his children: Aiden Micheal Tjelmeland, Avianna Diana King, Faithyna Leonard, Lance Leonard, Chase Leonard and Heather Sheets; his three grandchildren: Kaysen Sheets, Easton Nail, and “Baby O” who is on the way; his father, Robert (Darla) Hooper Jr.; his mother, Raelynn (Varney) King; stepmother Crystal Stille (Paul) Eshelman; his siblings: Robert (Lori) Vansleet of Alaska, Nate (Erica) Fameree of Wisconsin, Christine (Grady) Hooper of Arizona, Tina Hooper of Wisconsin, Stephanie (Greg) Meunier of Wisconsin, Justin Hooper of Iowa, Tony (Shaleah) Montano of Iowa, Stephanie Krowpman of Iowa, Thomas Hooper of Iowa, Elyse (Zachary) Perry of Iowa, Christopher (Kiliei) Sonderlieter of Iowa, Danielle Ray King of Utah, and George Lyndon King of Utah; his grandmother, Diane Grafton; his grandfather, Dale (Linda) Varney; as well as many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and many close friends.


He is preceded in death by his Sister Amanda Hooper, Grandparents Robert and Harriet Hooper Sr., Grandparents John and Rhonda Drain, Mother-in-law Debra Weuve, Father-in-law Curtis Close and Grandma June Close.
