David Janssen

David Janssen, 44, of Marshalltown, died at his home. A memorial visitation to share and celebrate his life for family and friends will be held from 5-7:00 p.m. Saturday, December 18th, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. For condolences, please visit www.mitchellfh.com.Born on January 23rd, 1966, in Marshalltown, he was the son of Harley and Myra (Erdman) Janssen. David graduated from the West Marshall High Schools Class of 1985. He later attended MCC. David loved to hang out with his brother, Darren and cousin Steve, play video games, play pool, collect Budweiser Beer Steins and barbeque with family and friends at the park. He knew no strangers and was gifted with 24 years of life following a life-threatening motorcycle accident. David was needed here to take care of his mother, Myra, who died after 2 years of health issues at their home.Left to cherish his memory is his brother Darren of St. Anthony, aunts and uncles: Sheila (Paul) Jared of Marshalltown, Sharon (Phil) Clark of Montour, Sherry Uhde of Marshalltown, Nancy Erdman of Marshalltown, Elaine Foran of Ironton, MN, and Roscoe Pete (Linda) Uhde of Overland Park, Kansas, as well as several cousins and friends. In death, David rejoined his parents and Uncle Marvin Erdman.
