David Jordan, 65, of Marshalltown, Iowa passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2017 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 20, 2017, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to the family. David Gregory Jordan was born on January 7, 1952 in Waterloo, Iowa; he was the son of Robert and Betty (Northrop) Jordan; he Attended school in the Marshalltown Community School District, and graduated with the class of 1970. He then attended Marshalltown Community College. After a long-time friendship David and Darla Kann Peoples were married on February 17, 2016. He was a member of Tri County Bass Club as he loved to fish, bowl, and the Iowa Hawkeyes. Dave was employed at Ritchie Industries from 1972 until his retirement in August 2017. He also had Daves Pro Shop and worked custom fittings for bowling balls, and was a member of the State Bowlers Association. Left to cherish Davids memory are his wife Darla and stepsons Jeff and Dan Peoples, brother Scott Jordan, one niece, and many cousins. David is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Betty.
