David Krahmer

David “Dave” Allen Krahmer, 62, of Waterloo, Iowa, formerly of Pearl City, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Premier Estates of Toledo Care Center in Toledo, Iowa. Per the wishes of Dave and his family, cremation rites have been accorded and a celebration of life will take place at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation. David was born on September 28, 1958 to Vernon and Judith (Munz) Krahmer in Freeport, Illinois.  He graduated from Pearl City High School, where he excelled at golf and basketball. On September 13, 1981 he was united in marriage to Pam Andrews. He worked for his dad at Black Dirt Construction as well as Wapsie Produce in Decorah, Iowa. Dave was a quiet man who was good at math and enjoyed reading the bible. He loved to listen to rock music, especially Metallica, Nirvana and Pearl Jam.  When his children were young, they enjoyed family bike rides and playing card games like Yuker. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Pam Krahmer; his children: David Krahmer Jr., Matthew Krahmer, Jason Krahmer and Tonya (Thomas) Stevenson; grandchildren: Aaron Krahmer, Ayden Stevenson, Tyson Krahmer and one on the way; his mother, Judith Williams; his brother, Wayne Krahmer; aunt, Mary Lou Krahmer and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Dave is preceded in death by his father, Vernie; his son, James Krahmer; his grandparents and his favorite great-grandma, Alma Krahmer.
