David Maxwell

David Maxwell, age 81, formerly of Marshalltown, died March 4, 2020, at The Willows in Marshalltown, Iowa with care from St. Croix Hospice.           Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 10th, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Ph. 641-844-1234.           David was born on August 10, 1938, the son of Glen and Agnes (Lord) Maxwell, and grew up in Lone Rock, Wisconsin. He was united in marriage to Margaret Ann (Wagaman) Maxwell on Aug, 1, 1959, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. David worked at Clemons, INC. and loved building relationships with his customers. David also enjoyed golfing, the friends he made in Texas, his many years playing and coaching slo-pitch softball, and cheering on the Marshalltown Bobcats, Green Bay Packers, the Iowa Cubs, and the Iowa Hawkeyes.           David is survived by his daughter, Laura (Matt) Gillon of Altoona;  two grandchildren, Lindsey (Tyler) Hanke and Grant Gillon; three great-grandchildren Maxwell Hanke, Paige Margaret Hanke and Grady Gillon; a brother Donald (Lorna) Maxwell of Richland Center, WI.           David was predeceased by his loving wife Margaret, who passed away on April 13th, 2004, and his parents
