He met Sharon Olmstead in November 1983 and after being together for 13 years they married on February 14, 1996. Dave chose that date so he would never forget their anniversary! Sharon and Dave exchanged vows during the Numerous Nuptials ceremony sponsored by KGGO, his favorite radio station. They have two children, Joseph and Nicholas. Family was Dave’s greatest passion. Both Dave and Sharon are active in all aspects of their sons lives and support them with all of their choices. Both sons are involved in sports and Dave was with them through all their years of play- attending games, cheering them on and coaching when needed. He also passed on his love of watching sports, especially the Minnesota Vikings and the Iowa Hawkeyes. His favorite local teams were any team that his sons were on. He was a great dad! His love of family extended to his brother, sisters, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and all of his in-laws. He was always available with a helping hand. Those left to honor his memory are his wife Sharon, sons Joe and Nick. Brother Dan Rebik, sisters Catherine (Dave) Bush, Christine (Jim) Crandell, Charlene Smith, Cynthia (Mark) Christensen and step mother Ruth Rebik.
