David Snyder

David Earl Snyder, 84, of Marshalltown, passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Southridge Specialty Care in Marshalltown.  A memorial service for Dave will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for David and his family.  David Snyder was born on July 6, 1933 in Lamoille, Iowa to George “Dewey” and Ethel Southand Barker Snyder. Dave graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1952. On July 11, 2007, Dave was united in marriage to JoAnn Mackey in Marshalltown. He was self-employed and owned and operated Snyder Construction.   Dave is survived by his wife of 10 years, JoAnn. Children: Brenda (Darryl) Rodden of Scottsdale, Arizona, Jeff (Patty) Snyder of Keystone, Iowa and Sean (Patty) Snyder of Des Moines, Iowa. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jamie Walker and Jessica Walker as well as great grandchildren; Michaela Kirby, Peyton Sinkwity, Shalee Watson and Molly Byrnam and his siblings; Don Snyder, Darrell Snyder, Todd Hulbert, Jamie Snyder, Robin Snyder and Daniel Snyder.  Dave is preceded in death by his parents, George and Ethel, brother Rick Hulbert and sister Sallee Matson.
