De Tu Nu, 54, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away Friday, December 9, 2022.

De Tu Nu was born on in 1968 in the village of Palu in Burma to parents Saw Kay and Ma Nyo. He was a refugee living in Thailand until he relocated to the United States in 2008. He lived in Arizona before moving to Marshalltown 10 years ago, where he worked at JBS. De Nu was very friendly and liked talking to his family and friends. He was a great cook and skilled at woodworking with bamboo. He also enjoyed helping people.

Left to cherish his memory is his sister Mu Mu (Wai Wah) Blat of Albany, NY and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents and two siblings.
