Dean Childs, 52, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away on April 4, 2015, at his home. Per Deans wishes, cremation rights have been accorded, and a Memorial service will be held at a later date. Dean William Childs was born on May 16, 1962, in Marshalltown, Iowa; he was the son of Robert Childs and Donna (Fletcher) Childs. He was raised in Marshalltown and attended Marshalltown Community School District, graduating with the class of 1981. Dean was currently an employee of Fisher Controls for the past 10 years. He will be remembered for his heart of gold and funny one liners. Left to cherish his memory are his brothers; Bob (Laurie) Childs of Marshalltown, Iowa and Craig (Fabienne) of Ames, Iowa. His nieces and nephews; Missy (Greg) Cruikshank Tama, Iowa and their children Ethan and Eli, Dan (Edina) Childs Broken Arrow, OK and their child Kaden, Rochelle Childs and Cody Childs Clinton, Iowa, a special friend Dee Holmes Marshalltown, Iowa and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Childs and Donna Fletcher.
