Dean Paul Grout

Dean Paul Grout, 56, of Marshalltown, passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at the Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. To honor his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and his family will host a Celebration of Life on Sunday, December 12th from Noon until 2:00 p.m. at the Frank Lewis Glick American Legion Post #46 in Marshalltown. Dean was born in Marshalltown on July 27, 1965, the son of Robert and Nellie (Hauser) Grout. After attending the local public schools, he became an industrial welder. In 1991, he moved to Arkansas and was employed as a welder for Tyson Foods. In his leisure time, Dean enjoyed fishing, going to the casino and spending time with his family and friends – especially his grandchildren. Survivors include his longtime companion, Stephanie Vestal; his children: Michael Luethje, Lindsey Siemens, Jason Siemens and Tasia Casteel; grandchildren: Christian and Isabella; his siblings: Bobby (Kathy) Grout, Nicole Grout, Connie Fields, Shelly Voigt, Roberta (Kirk) Rundall, Stacy Voigt, Craig Voigt, Heidi Voigt, Michael (Adrian) Voigt, Tammy Voigt Deschamps and his parent, Colin Voigt. Preceding him in death are his father, Robert Grout; his mother, Nellie Voigt and his grandparents.
