Dean Welton

Dean Welton, 70, of Marshalltown passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2014 at home with his loving family surrounding him. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 19, 2014, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. The family requests casual dress for Deans services. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Dean and his family. Phone 641-844-1234. Dean Max Welton was born in the Marshalltown Hospital on April 13, 1944; he was the son of Max and Evelyn Welton. Dean attended School in the Garwin Community School District. On April 14, 1989, Dean was united in marriage to Anna Loffgren at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. They had resided in Marshalltown where Dean had been employed at Swifts for 37 years. Dean enjoyed old cars, racing (NASCAR), camping, fishing, and the out of doors in general, but above all else he loved his family and spending time with them. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 25 years, Anna of Marshalltown, Children: Kellie (Phil) De Ruiter of Marshalltown, Kendra (Dave) Lunney of Madison, Wisconsin, Kim Woosley (Scott Gianetto) of Albion, Jennifer(Cory) Johnson of Northfield , Minnesota and Jessica (Tim) Youngman of Tama. Grandchildren: Austen, Robbi, Skoky, Blake, Chelsey, KP, Autumn, Ann Marie, Lexie, Ryne, Alex, Nicholas and Jack, great-grandchildrren; Aliya and Amiya. Siblings: Roger (Linda) Welton and Debbie Keck. In death Dean rejoins his parents Max and Evelyn and sister, Bev Peshel.
