Deanna Brindle

June 15, 1954 — September 30, 2022

Deanna K. Brindle, 68, of Marshalltown, Iowa, went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 30, 2022 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, Iowa. She was surrounded by her loving family as she slipped away.


Services for Deanna will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at the Alice Church of God, beginning at 10:30 A.M. With refreshments to follow. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, October 7, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Deanna K. Borton was born on June 15, 1954 to her parents, Ralph and Daisy (Leshko) Borton in Marshalltown, Iowa. She grew up in Haverhill, Iowa, and attended school at SEMCO. She graduated in the class of 1972.


On June 16, 1973, Deanna was united in marriage to the love of her life, Jerry Brindle. They began a family raising their two children. In the early years, Deanna worked for Ritchie Industries in Conrad, Iowa. She would later switch to working for Lennox Industries in Marshalltown from which she would retire in 2017. She was a member of the Alice Church of God, Heartlanders of Iowa Camping Club, and the U.A.W. Local 893 of Marshalltown.


Throughout her life she loved to go roller-skating, camping with her family, bowling, attending various card nights, spending time with her grandchildren, and crafting. When she was younger she cherished her family trips, and horseback riding with family and friends.


Left to remember and cherish her memory, are her husband of 49 years, Jerry Brindle; her children, Randy Brindle and Angela (Barry) Hutchens; her grandchildren, Tyler, Blake, Amber, and Taylor Brindle, Richie (Cassie) Thomas, Dustin Otto, Barry III, and Bailey Hutchens, all of Marshalltown; her 1 great-grandson Kai; her brother Dennis (Mary) Borton, of LeGrand; her sister and brother-in-law Julie and Ronald Branan, of Belton, Missouri; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Daisy Borton and her brother Robert Borton.
