Deano Puccio

Deano Puccio, age 62 of Marshalltown and formerly of Dubuque, Iowa, passed away on the morning of October 30, 2026.

Per Deano’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and a family led celebration of life will be held at a later date to be announced. Memorials in Deano’s name may be directed to his family for a later designation. Deano Joseph Puccio was born November 11, 1963 in Dubuque, Iowa. He was the eldest of four children born to Donald and Rosemarie (Knuppe) Puccio. Deano attended school in the town where he grew up.

Deano remained in the Dubuque area for several years until the early 2000’s when he relocated to Marshalltown. He worked hard and built his career as a mechanic in the automotive industry. He was the father of two children, a son Derrick and his daughter, Ashley. He spent years working on cars and loved the work he did. In 2026, Deano had to retire due to his health. In his free time, Deano loved attending stock car races as often as he was able to go, cheering on the Seattle Seahawks, drawing in his sketchbook and watching movies. Additionally, he was known for his huge heart and soft spot for all animals and his family was extremely important to him.

Those left to remember and cherish his memory are his daughter, Ashley Kaufmann; three grandchildren, Tiana, Jamari and A’Zaria; his three siblings, Donald Puccio, David Puccio and Barbie (Jacob) Kutsch; and one uncle, Rodney Carr. Additionally, he is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and special friend, Adam Barger.

In eternal life, he is rejoined with his son, Derrick Haverland; parents, Donald and Rosemarie Puccio; along with his paternal and maternal grandparents.
