Deb Bachman

Deborah “Deb” Bachman of Marshalltown passed away on November 8, 2018 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, Iowa. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday November 14, 2018 at Riverside Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. with a public visitation held on Tuesday November 13, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home from 1-3:00 p.m. For condolences please visit www.Mitchellfh.com or call (641)-844-1234. Deb was born on October 9, 1948 to the parents of Virginia (Capron) and Speck Boyer in Marshalltown, Iowa. She was a graduate of Marshalltown High School with the class of 1966. After high school Deb attended Marshalltown Community College for 2 years, and then attended Marshalltown Community School of Nursing and graduated as a Registered Nurse in 1983. She put her degree to good use as a nurse working as a traveling nurse for many years. During her time as a nurse she made many friends that she cherish. In her more present life she enjoyed the companionship of her cat Muffy, who was photogenic enough to make the cover of a magazine. Left to cherish Deb’s memory is her son, Todd (Rachel) Bachman, grandchildren Annie and Sam, nephew Matt, and niece Traci, and close friend Sheila Orr. She is preceded in death by her parents Virginia and Speck, and her brother Ross Boyer.
