Deb Sims

Deb Sims, 62, of Marshalltown, died Sunday, March 4, at her home. Following cremation, memorial services for Deb will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 10, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m., until time of service. A private family burial will be held at a later date. Deb was born October 28, 1949, the daughter of Dale and Shirley (Johnson) Randall. She was raised and educated in Marshalltown where she attended the Marshalltown School System. Deb was united in marriage to Robert Sims on June 20, 1986, in Gladewater, Texas. Following their marriage, they made their home in Texas, Colorado, Marshalltown and Oskaloosa. Deb was a devoted daughter and loved to care for her mother Shirley. When she had free time, Deb enjoyed knitting and also loved animals. She especially enjoyed her pet cat and two dogs. She was a dear daughter, wife, aunt and friend who will be greatly missed by all. Deb is survived by her husband, Robert of Marshalltown, her mother ShirleyRandall of Marshalltown, her sister Diane Adams of VanHorne, IA, her brother Doug (Krystal) Randall of Marshalltown, her brother Russ (Laura) Randall of Marshalltown and several nieces, nephews and friends. Deb was preceded in death by her father Dale and her sister Dale Lorraine Oats.
