Deborah Goodman

Deborah Lynn Goodman age 59, beloved daughter of Darrell and Marjorie Goodman of State Center, gained her angel wings on October 25, 2024 at State Center Specialty Care. Her family was present when she passed.

She attended Pleasant Hill School in Marshalltown completing her education in 1986.

When she turned 50, she moved from the family farm into a CIRSI group home in Marshalltown before moving to the nursing home. She attended the CIRSI Adult Day Program. She enjoyed birds and wildlife, playing cards and time with her family. She also enjoyed her relatives ball games and treats from the concession stand. Deborah will be remembered as always having a smile on her face.

Deborah is survived by her parents, sister Melissa Nelsen and brother Matthew (Dawn) Goodman. Four nephews also survive: Wyatt Nelsen, Carter Nelsen, Dawson Goodman and Drake Goodman.

Waiting for her in heaven are her grandparents, EF and Inez Rohenkohl and Urban and Alice Goodman.

Funeral Services are planned for Wednesday, November 6, 2024 beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in State Center where she was a member. Visitation is planned for one hour prior to services. Memorial contributions may be made to CIRSI or Care Initiatives Hospice.
