Deborah Debbie M. Howell, 64, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away on the morning of Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at Hawkeye Care Center, with her loving family by her side. Following Debbies wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no public services held at this time. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Debbie and her family. Deborah Hensler was born on November 24, 1952 in Hamilton, Ohio, the daughter of Martin and Mary Ann (McCabe) Hensler. She was raised and educated in the Newton School District, graduating from Newton High School with the class of 1970. On June 5, 1972, Debbie was united in marriage to the love of her life, Michael Howell, in Kirksville, Missouri. From this union two children were born: Jason and Lisa. Debbie was currently on disability at the time of her passing but dedicated many years to Wal-Mart where she worked as a department manager, cashier and csm. Debbie had a passion for cooking, fishing, spending time with family and her grandchildren. She also loved to sit around the camp fire and watch her husband catch catfish. Left to cherish Debbies memory is her loving husband: Mike Howell; children: Jason (Amy) Howell and Lisa (Michael) Hurd; grandchildren: Chelsea Hurd, Dalton Hurd, Payton Hurd and step grandchildren Colby, Cierra and Caiden; sibling: Karen Detrick; special companions: Gordon Pence Howell and Daisy Mae Howell. She is preceded in death by her parents.
