Deborah Ann Wells

Deborah Ann Wells, 65, of Marshalltown, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at UnityPoint Health - Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Per the wishes of Deborah and her family, cremation rites have been accorded under the care of the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. A family-led graveside service will be held on Friday, May 27 at 11:00 a.m. at Riverside Cemetery followed by a memorial gathering at Riverside Park. Growing up, she attended school in Chicago and also attended classes later at Marshalltown Community College. Deborah started working at a young age, dedicating her time and talents to various jobs around the community over the years. She had a huge heart: it didn’t matter if you were friends or blood-relatives, you were her family and she made sure there was always room in her home and at her table. Left to cherish her memory is her three children: Kenisha Donelson of Des Moines, Kenneth Donelson of Des Moines and Micah Glass of Marshalltown; four grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters. In eternal life she is reunited with her parents; her brother, Joseph and her husband, Solomon Thompson.
