DeeAnn Sue (Jones) Hon, was born April 24, 1960 to Carlene Dee (Schossow) and Wayne Allen Jones at the Evangelical Hospital in Marshalltown, Iowa. She grew up on the family farm in rural Story County and attended Colo School, graduating in 1978. One week after graduating, she married Scott Woosley on May 28, 1978. To this union, one child was born. They later divorced in 1989. Dee then lived in the Des Moines area and met Robert Hon in 1993. The couple traveled to Texas and California during the winter months, then in 1999 they married and made their home back on the family farm until they divorced in 2006. Later Dee worked at JBS auditing livestock trucks that came into the plant which is where she met her significant other, Nick Boelman in 2013. Dee and Nick made their home in Reinbeck, Iowa. DeeAnn enjoyed being a homemaker, taking care of the household tasks and took great pride in making her yard beautiful with plants and flowers. Every September, she looked forward to the truck show in Kasson, Minnesota. She and Nick made this a yearly tradition. DeeAnn loved being a part of raising, and being a Mom to Nick’s children Grant and Bria. She loved them very much. In 2002, her first granddaughter was born, Kristina DeeAnn, in which she was named after. Then in 2009, her second granddaughter was born, Madalyn Rose. She was a wonderful Grammy.
