Delores A. Osgood, 84, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2016, at the Hawkeye Care Center with her loving family by her side. Funeral services for Delores will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, September 26, 2016, at Mitchell Family Funeral Home with Pastor Loren Strait officiating. Public visitation will be held from 5:00 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 25, 2016, at Mitchell Family Funeral Home, with Deloress family present to greet friends. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Delores and her family. Delores A. Dettmer was born on April 17, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of William and Anna (Zitzow) Dettmer. She was raised and educated in the Kellogg school district, graduating with the Class of 1950. On June 4, 1950, Delores was united in marriage to Calvin Osgood at the First Friends Church in Marshalltown, Iowa. From this union three children were born: Bob, Jan and Robin. Delores was a hard working woman always making sure her family was well taken care of. She had a passion for cooking, baking and most importantly her family. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Robert (Deb Jeske) Osgood of Redwing, MN and Robin (Jeff) Vibbard of State Center, IA; grandchildren: Patrick Osgood, Cynthia Osgood (Fred Berg), Leslie (Jim) Streeter, Elizabeth Keese (Sara Boecker), Charles Vibbard, Jeff Davis Jr. and Terry Davis; great-grandchildren: Noah, Ellee and Calvin Streeter; two siblings: Elsie Vogt and Caroline (Herb) Oettchen. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter: Jan Davis; one sister: Anna Mae Rohweder; two brother-in-laws: Roger Rohweder and Don Vogt; one daughter-in-law: Kathy (King) Osgood.
