Deloris Holder

Deloris Holder, 80, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away peacefully on the morning of Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Southridge Nursing and Rehab Center. Public graveside services for Deloris will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 17, 2017 at Green Mountain Cemetery located in Green Mountain. There will be no public visitation prior to services. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Deloris and her family. Deloris Chase was born on July 19, 1936 in Marshalltown, Iowa, the daughter of Albert and Helen (Castel) Chase. She was raised and educated in the Marshalltown School District. Following high school, Deloris was united in marriage to the love of her life, Herbert Holder. From this union they had one son: Roger. Deloris and Herb made Marshalltown home for most of their life. In her early years, she had her own cleaning service but spent most of her married life taking care of the family home and her family. Deloris had a passion for collecting dolls, cooking, baking and traveling all over the United States with her husband. Left to cherish her memory is her son: Roger Holder; as well as several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her loving husband: Herbert; parents: Albert and Helen Chase; four sisters; one brother and one niece: Rebecca.
